When I was 10 I saw this movie and that was the job I wanted. I wanted to be the Bandit. This is also probably why ‘East bound and Down’ plays in my head every time I am heading home on a roadtrip. Especially if I have my car packed with booze I can’t buy in my home state.

Most excellent movie.

Make sure to also watch Cannonball Run if you have not seen it. It’s much more campy, but it’s still good Burt.

I, too, was late in watching this. Saw it for the first time just a few years ago. Couldn’t believe that I had been missing out on such a good movie for so long. I love it.
